Raihana Maqbool


Raihana Maqbool joined Global Press as a reporter after completing the Global Press Institute training in Delhi in 2015. She now reports from Indian-Administered Kashmir. Raihana has been a columnist on Global Press Journal since 2018.

Raihana studied mass communication, journalism and multimedia studies. She started reporting for the local newspapers and national media in 2012 while she was still studying.

Raihana wanted to write stories about her community that resonated with people on every corner of the world and Global Press provided her with that platform.

Raihana says, “Now I get the opportunity to meet lots of people from different fields in my community and each one challenges my perspective towards life.”
