Nepali Migrant Laborers Risk it All for Their Families Back Home

An estimated 4 million Nepalis work abroad, sending remittances home to their families that account for about a quarter of Nepal’s GDP. But those migrant workers face deadly conditions on the job and are often trapped in foreign countries — and the fallout often continues even when they return home.
