Mexico Arafat Nájera Bermudez, 7, plays on a Mayan-style altar during the Festival del Agua, a water festival, in the city of San Cristóbal de las Casas in Chiapas state, Mexico. This year, a group of culture and climate change researchers and academics created the festival, held on May 3, to coincide with the rainy season and harvest season, and to educate people on how they can mitigate the effects on crops of a changing climate, pollution and water shortages.
