Lydia Nakayenze Schubert, a founder of Moo Me Gen (Oils of Hope), packs handmade shea soaps at her shop in Kampala, Uganda. Schubert advocates for replanting shea trees, which are often cut for charcoal. The trees only grow widely in the shea belt, which extends about 5,000 kilometers (3,107 miles) through 21 countries in Africa.
