Sasha Belenky was been an editor with Global Press Journal in 2020. He has more than 15 years of experience in print and digital media, in the United States and abroad.
Currently based in London, he has served as interim senior editor at Type Investigations, a nonprofit newsroom that partners with major publications to produce ambitious investigative journalism, and senior editor at HuffPost, where he edited breaking news and enterprise articles and worked closely with the news organization's international editions.
Previously, he was an associate editor at The Guardian and features editor at The New Republic, where he oversaw projects on a wide range of subjects, including the spread of right-wing extremism, the global refugee crisis, the threats posed by climate change, and more. Articles he has edited have won numerous awards, including the 2019 James Beard Award for investigative reporting.
