Julia Pagnamenta joined Global Press Journal as a fact checker in 2016. She first started out as a fact checker at Bookforum, and now fact checks for VICE Magazine among other publications. For over three years, she worked as an administrator at the New York Public Library’s Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers. Julia received her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Chicago, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Criminal Justice at John Jay College, where she is a student intern at the Center for Media, Crime & Justice.
