Bridget is the senior editor of Global Press Journal. She guides reporters and collaborates with other team members to help craft detailed, balanced news stories that amplify the voices of underdogs and hold the powerful accountable for their actions. Before joining Global Press, Bridget was a deputy editor at Newsday in New York, where she also spent close to a decade as a reporter specializing in courts and criminal justice coverage. Her years of boots-on-the-ground journalism experience includes working as a reporter in New Jersey, Florida and for the Boston bureau of The Associated Press, where she covered news events that included the Boston Marathon bombing and the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Bridget has a bachelor's degree from Villanova University and a master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
