Cecilia do Lago is an investigative data journalist and Shifting Democracies Fellow at Global Press Journal based in São Paulo. With a career spanning over a decade, she specializes in uncovering complex stories at the intersection of politics, environmental crime, and corruption, utilizing data analysis, mapping, and programming languages like R to bring hidden narratives to light.
Her collaborative work on The Washington Post’s “Amazon, Undone” series, which delved into deforestation and environmental degradation in the Amazon, was a finalist for the 2023 Pulitzer Prize in the Explanatory Reporting category.
