Taisa Sganzerla is a bilingual editor on Global Press Journal's global team. She has filed stories from Brazil, Southeast Asia, and the UK, covering politics, human rights, and social movements, while also managing teams of reporters and editors. Currently, she is an editor at Global Press Journal, after an eight-year stint editing for Global Voices. Before that, she was a staff reporter in O Estado de S. Paulo (Brazil), and an intern reporter at The Cambodia Daily (Cambodia). Her freelance work has appeared on Quartz, AsiaLIFE, Oceana, and many more outlets in Brazil – including the prestigious monthly magazine piau. Her stories for Global Voices have been regularly republished by Slate and PRI. She grew up in Salvador, Brazil, and is currently based in Barcelona, Spain.
