Seher Vora joined the Global Press team as Copy Editor in 2019. She is Pakistani-American and holds a masters degree in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, as well as a B.A. in International Studies and Linguistics from the University of California, Irvine.
Most recently, Seher served as a Senior Editor at the Fletcher Forum of World Affairs, a peer-reviewed academic journal and online publication of international relations. She has also worked in corporate immigration law as a paralegal and with a nonprofit focusing on peace building in Afghanistan through local community initiatives. Her regional expertise includes the Middle East and South Asia, and she has published with the Harvard Kennedy School’s Middle East Exercise Project. Her love of Islamic history and cultures continues to inform her academic and personal interests.
Seher is based out of Washington, D.C. and learning to love it despite pining for her native California weather. She loves checking out the Smithsonians, watching movies and hiking in her free time. She is a self-proclaimed caffeine aficionado.
