Director, Global People and Talent
Rhonda Gardner is the Director, Global People & Talent where she designs, builds and strengthens People & Talent infrastructure and manages all global people operations. She serves as an advocate for staff and as a thought partner to the organization’s leadership, by providing strategic guidance on culture, employee relations, compensation and performance management.
She is a versatile global Human Resources leader, with several years’ experience in diverse industries such as Banking & Insurance Services, Professional Consulting Services, INGOs and Communications. She has built and developed full service HR departments to better attract, engage and improve the capacity of employees. She has been a creative problem solver able to research, analyze and develop strategy, policies, and programs to suit the needs of organizations. Rhonda has successfully designed and facilitated employee trainings, led and analyzed employee engagement surveys, developed and managed internship programs, facilitated the implementation of new HRIS systems and developed and analyzed compensation structures.
Prior to joining Global Press, Rhonda worked as the Principal of People, Culture & Business Operations at Banyan Communications, as the Director, HR & Talent Management at Global Ministries & UMCOR and as an HR Writer for the Academy to Innovate HR. She holds a BA in Linguistics from the University of the West Indies, a MSc. In Human Resources Management & Development from NYU and is also SHRM SCP and GPHR certified. Rhonda was born in Trinidad & Tobago, lives in the Southeast region of the US and is passionate about supporting immigrants and refugees succeed in the workplace.
