Mónica Parga is a fact-checker for the Global Press Journal based in Madrid, Spain. She began her fact checking career at The New York Times Syndicate as an intern in 2016. Her reporting has been featured in Vogue Spain, El País, Univision Noticias and other publications for the past seven years. Monica received her bachelor's degree in Journalism at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and an MA in Journalism from Columbia University in New York. She is currently part of the Vanity Fair Spain newsroom in Madrid.
