Michael Bluhm has been a journalist, editor and journalism teacher on three continents. After covering local politics for a small newspaper in Cajun Louisiana, Michael moved to then-Czechoslovakia, where he worked as an editor and taught at Charles University in Prague. He then worked in Beirut, where he covered Middle East politics for The Daily Star and taught at the American University of Beirut. In Lebanon he was also an editor and taught college courses in copy editing. He is now completing a Ph.D. dissertation on Tunisia’s Arab Spring.
