Jessica Meyers

Jessica Meyers was the editor-in-chief at Global Press Journal, where she oversaw reporters in more than two dozen news bureaus around the world.

Previously, she helped lead Asia coverage as a Beijing-based correspondent for the Los Angeles Times. She’s worked as a national reporter for The Boston Globe, a tech and transportation policy correspondent for Politico, and an education and politics writer for The Dallas Morning News.

Jessica has consulted for the World Bank on issues ranging from human rights to digital skills in sub-Saharan Africa and published pieces for The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, the Journal of Asian American Studies, BBC and other major outlets. She earned a master’s degree in journalism from the University of California-Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.

She has lived in Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe, where her work included an exploration of Vietnam’s economic transformation and a documentary on Kosovo Roma. She now lives in her native Washington, D.C.
