Emily is a bilingual multimedia journalist based in Philadelphia. Her work has been published in local, national, and international publications. Previously, she worked as a reporter and editor at AL DÍA News, a Spanish-English bilingual print and digital news organization based in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to moving to Philadelphia, Emily worked as a communications officer for SERES, a Guatemalan nonprofit organization focused on youth leadership and sustainability in Guatemala and El Salvador. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Emily received her master's of science in journalism from Columbia Journalism School in 2016, and graduated with a B.A. in Middle Eastern Studies and a minor in Spanish and Latin American studies from Barnard College in 2014.
