Ashley Powers has been an editor for Global Press Journal since 2020. She has published features in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The California Sunday Magazine, and other outlets, and was anthologized in "The Best American Travel Writing 2020." Previously, she was a national correspondent for the Los Angeles Times. She is also a co-director of Princeton University’s Summer Journalism Program, a journalism and college admissions initiative for low-income high school students.
