Christine Kampire takes her studies very seriously. She not only studies hard, she works hard too. Christine, 14, is a small girl with black eyes. She is always smiling.  Born second in a family of four, she still lives with both parents. She says she loves studying and hopes to be a journalist soon. “I think that studying is the only way to have a good life in the future,’’ says Christine.

In addition to her school work, Christine studies photography and works after school to help her parents pay her school fees. Christine says she will be proud to be the first journalist in her family. Christine believes she can change the world positively through journalism. “I will change bad behaviors into good behaviors once I become a journalist,’’ she says.

Jeannette Kagame is her role model because she has helped so many women in Rwanda. Christine would also like to be a powerful woman so that she can empower other women all over the world. “Each girl, all over the world, needs to think about her future and how to make her future bright,” she says. “They should not let anyone discourage them. I wish they could be always confident.”
