Lydia has always wanted to help vulnerable people in different ways, which is why she is representing them through her voice. She helps them to be self-confident through her stories, which she has been writing for GPI since May 2012.
Born the only child in her family, this 18-year-old girl has a soft voice and long black hair. Lydia finished secondary school at Ecole Belge. She speaks Kinyarwanda, French and English. Before she starts studying at a university, she is keeping busy with an internship at Ni Nyampinga magazine.
Apart from work and study, she loves fashion, hanging out with family and friends, laughing and, most of all, watching movies. Lydia says she wants all young women in Rwanda to know that their ideas are needed and should be shared so they can be put into practice.
