Elia Gran has been a translator for Global Press Journal since 2017. Elia is a Spanish, New York-based photojournalist who works both with print and radio media outlets like The Indypendent, WBAI radio, DemocracyNow!, The New York Times, El Salto and Eldiario.es. It was in Barcelona, Spain when she started covering social issues that weren't mentioned in mainstream media. She developed a strong interest in immigration, feminism and housing.
When Elia isn't working as a translator or journalist, she is participating in the creation of a global network with the idea to facilitate the collaboration amongst social movements working on similar issues.
