Terry Aguayo is the managing editor at Global Press Journal where she manages the Global Press Accuracy Network and ensures all articles are conceptually strong and properly sourced.
Previously, Terry worked with GPJ as a fact checker, interpreter and translator. Prior to freelancing, she managed the Miami bureau of The New York Times, covering the state of Florida for the national newspaper. During her eight years with The Times, Terry helped cover stories of national significance. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, Terry writes and edits in both languages and has extensive translation experience.
Prior to joining The New York Times, she worked at the Associated Press bureau in Miami. Terry lives in Miami and holds a journalism degree and a translation studies certification from Florida International University.
